Loading phase.
How am I feeling?
Had a surprisingly difficult time during this loading phase. The purpose is to eat as much fatty foods as possible to saturate the blood with fats. This is supposed to help the HCG to work more effectively.
I found I had to force myself to eat most of the day. I thought this would be the easy part. I guess the HCG also suppresses your appetite. Anyway, one more day of loading then on to a 500 calorie a day diet. Without getting into too much detail, the 500 calorie diet is possible because the HCG helps your body to use your bodyfat as nutrients. The HCG saturates your blood with the nutrients from your bodyfat, so even though you are only taking in 500 calories, you have all of the nutrients you need for normal body functions.
So here's to Day 1!

So, today is the first day of my HCG diet. My awesome sisters have provided everything I needed to get started. They've both lost quite a bit of weight using the HCG diet. Hopefully, I'll have the same results. Without getting into a lot of detail about the diet itself, this blog will chronicle my progress. I'm looking forward to getting back to a "normal" life.

It's kinda disappointing that we get to eat all the delicious "bad stuff" and not really enjoy it, but hey! In a way, that's a good thing... less tempting to cheat, yeah?
